i had never heard pf cyber monday before i came to hawaii and was wondering what it is and found a interesting article so i would like to share with all of you. Cyber monday is 3days after the black friday and you can get stuff for cheap but you have to be careful of where to buy or what to click. there are 5ways to shop safely. the first one is not to click on emails links. the secound one is to be careful of deep discount. the third one is to be secure of purchase and the fourth one is to only pay by credit card. and the last one is to tune up the software. people tend to forget to be careful when you are in paradise or in a good situation so if you are planning on shoping online on cyber monday, BE CAREFUL and ENJOY :)

I do not why but I am interested in captain cook and I read some of the articles about him so I am going to write about him. Captain cook was born in Britain in 1728 and died in 1779 at Kealakekua Bay when he was attacked by native Hawaiians on the beach. The reason why he was attached was that one of his crew killed one of the native Hawaiians chiefs. Captain cook sailed the world to find new lands and became the first known European that came to Hawaii. I do not really know what they exactly did to be killed so I will read more about him.

I was reading some article about life expectancy in the world. it said that the contry which has the longest life expectancy is Japan. but what i found the most interesting is that women live longer than the men in the all of the countries. One of the reason is they have less stress because they are more social than men and talk about their problems with their friends a lot while men tend to keep it to themselves. I thought this is very interesting because i have never thought women live longer than men. from reading this article, i thought keeping stress is really bad for you and decrease your life expectancy so i should start sharing this information to everyone so that we can live longer :)

I read about green school progect on the internet and i thought it is a really interesting progect so i would like to share about it. this project helps schools with the raising funds by helping recycle their used printer catridges, laptops, cell phones, and small electronics. by doing this project, students could learn lessons about recycling and also they could earn extra money to use for the supplies for the class room, such as class room art supplies, sports equipment, pencils, markers, and note books. I think this is a good project because kids could learn some important lessons by recycling so that the young generation can start protecting the earth and also they can use the money they earn for learning something else. I think it has a lot of advantages and we all should start doing this project!

I read an artical about Obama coming to Hawaii for Asia Passific Economic Cooperation summit on sunday. He said that Hawaii is not perfect but it is a melting pot where many people from different race lives and work. He was born and spent his teen tears in Hawaii. When he gave a toast he said " A'ohe hana nui ke alu 'ia." which means, "no task is too big when done together by all." I did not know what APEC is before i read some articles from online but from these articles i read, i understood better about it and also realized that there are many people living and working in hawaii and it is a melting pot.

I read about the major School of Travel Industry Management of University of Hawaii. It says that students have to complete 400hour internship in the area of hospitality management or tourism and transportation management such as in a hotel. Also, there are only 340 people in the undergraduate program so it is a small school. I want to be a flight attendant someday and I would love to learn about Travel Industry Management so I thought this could be the perfect major for me.

week 2; 2
I read about other natural disasters in the book I have been reading. It said that the scientists believe that cyclone, floods, torrential rainfalls, droughts, and other weather catastrophes will increase in the coming decades because of the rising temperatures. It also said that the weather related disaster causes deaths, homelessness, and affect local economy. It is harder for the people who live in poor countries to recover from the disasters because they have less money and resources. I think we who live in industrialized countries should think about how we are living right now and reduce some energy consumptions so that we can save our world and live better lives.

I read a shocking thing from the book I introduced last time again. It says that over twenty thousand square miles of ice which is nearly the size of West Virginia disappear each year. It is because gas discharges combined with human industry are making the temperature higher. I knew that some ice is melting each year but I never knew that the West Virginia’s size of ice is disappearing each year and made me think we really have to do something to stop this situation. I think each one of us can do something, such as stop using car when you can walk or stop using plastic bags when you do not needed, to protect our world.
contaminated verb poluted

I am taking global issues this term and I found that I actually did not know many of the things that are happening to the earth so I decided to share some of the things i read from the book called “the future of the earth”. It said that from the 1980s to the 1990s, the number of people in the world who affected by natural disasters increased 50%. For example, almost 318,000 people died and more than 81 million people lost their house by catastrophic floods which has dramatically increased. I hear a lot about natural disasters these days on the news but I was surprised that I actually do not know a lot about this and it made me sad.
