I read about the major School of Travel Industry Management of University of Hawaii. It says that students have to complete 400hour internship in the area of hospitality management or tourism and transportation management such as in a hotel. Also, there are only 340 people in the undergraduate program so it is a small school. I want to be a flight attendant someday and I would love to learn about Travel Industry Management so I thought this could be the perfect major for me.
internship= a system of on-the-job training usually for college students
There are only a few internship programs in Japan because most of Japanese companies do not expect freshmen's contribution for companies first. It is the major different custom between the U.S. and Japan. I cannot judge which way the best is because each custom has both sides, the merits and the demerits. But, if you hope you work at a company in abroad, you should try to experience some internship programs, I think.
ReplyDeleteIt's so exciting for me... In my contry, this program is not spread. Thank for sharing
